Born in the east of France, the renowned ECAL brought Charles Negre to Switzerland to study photography. Later he started teaching there himself. Since his graduation, he has lived in Paris, where he caught the attention of the fashion scene shortly after his arrival. he works at the intersection of art and commerce and pushes the limits of commercialism. His gentle yet powerful aesthetics and artful approach to photography embody the contemporary zeitgeist. His list of clients include Hermès, Loewe, Gucci, Boucheron, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Audemars Piguet and Chanel. His editorial works include M le Monde, Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, WSJ, Elle US and many more.
